KA17 Cash Drawer

Wincor Nixdorf KA17 compact cash drawer has been designed for installation directly below the central unit of a POS system. Ease of operatin coupled with security in retail applications were the principle factrs governing the design of the product. The arrival of the KA17 has provided POS systems with a compact cash drawer wich can also be used in international markets.

When POS activities are in progress, the compact drawer is opened by the POS system's software. Mounted on telescopic rails, cash compartment can be pulled out completely if needed. When shift changes, the compartment can be closed with a cover and removed by the staff. The two extra openings in the front panel f the drawer allow cheques, documents or credit notes to be inserted without opening the whole drawer.

When removed from the drawer, the cash compartment becomes a safe.Up for 30 combinations are avaliable for locking the compartment , thus complying with international regulations. High security eables staff to remove locked compartment whenever the checkout desk is left unattended.

The Cash drawer KA17 is connectable directly to the designated cash loading interface of the BEETLE computer family. It's also connectable to checkout printers with cash loadeing interface (RJ12)

The cash compartments in KA 17 are divided into two units, one above another. The upper unit is divided crossways so it can be pushed backwards to expose the lower unit.

Front section of the upper unit contains a removable compartment divided into 8 coin compartments. The rear section provides 4 note compartments for banknotes stored lenghtways. The lower unit provides enough space for storing large banknotes and rolls of coins.
