Z-Band Direct wristbands offer ease of use and efficiency in record keeping. While classic wristbands only have a text window, these wristbands offered by Zebra Technologies are suitable for full-surface printing. The printed content is far more legible than handwritten text, and in addition to the text itself, the use of barcodes and 2D codes can be implemented into the system. This makes it possible to include more information on the surface of the wristband. The use of a strong acrylic adhesive ensures ease and speed of application, whilst the polypropylene film protects against accidental removal of the wristband. The same film allows for thermal printing, which does not require the use of ribbons. The antimicrobial coating protects against the build up and growth of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, which are common causes of infection in hospitals. The bands are separated by perforations so they can be easily retrieved from the printer. The product is latex-free.

In addition to their use in the healthcare industry, Z-Band Direct wristbands can also be used as ID badges for ticketed events or as passes to restricted and VIP areas.
