Motorola DS9208

DS9208 is the latest hands-free presentation imager 2D barcode reader offered by Motorola. As it is an omnidirectional scanner it eliminates the need to align bar code and scanner. The device has a modern elegant design and small footprint, also provides high functionality, making it ideal for use in limited-spaces areas as well as in the most design conscious environments.

DS9208 has the ability to read all, most supported, bar codes such as 1D, 2D, PDF417 and postal codes. In addition, the scanner can read bar codes which are printed on paper and from the screens of mobile phones, computers displays and other media, which increases its functionality in such operations as: registration and loyalty card suppporting, mobile coupons, access control - boarding passes, ticketing and more.

Optionally, the reader can deactivate EAS transponders, which eliminates the need to purchase and maintain additional security system. The operator can choose and scan a single bar code from a bar code menu or barcode list - it is ideal for identification of objects which dimensions are to small for bar code labels. Multi-code mode allows simultaneous scanning of a group of bar codes and reports only the selected bar code(s) in a pre-selected order. Dual LEDs plus programmable beeper volume provides both visual and audible confirmation of successful scanning.
