DS9908-HD

DS9908R is a fusion of 1D/2D handheld and stationary readers with an additional function of RFID tags recognition.

Used as a handheld, Zebra DS9908R is able to decode every code of products held in a shopping cart within the  maximum distance of 62cm, reducing the need to take them out of the shopping cart. In stationary mode its range is limited automatically, to prevent incidental and unwanted scans being made. Switching between handheld mode and stationary mode is triggered by the built-in accelerometer sensing the position of the device and the touch sensor activated when the device is placed back on the cradle. Recognition of graphic codes, such as PDF417, Micro PDF417, TLC-39 is possible thanks to a 800MHz microprocessor, PZRM intelligent imaging technology and a 1280x800px area imager.

Graphic codes in any condition – damaged, faded, poorly-printed, distorted or displayed on a mobile device are fully readable the versatile DS9908R.

It also captures the RFID tags within 45 centimetres radius from the cradle, while the proprietary software converts it, so the data is recognizable to the POS application. The DS9908R is also able to save data to a RFID tags or to deactivate the EAS theft protection tags. The DS9908R is protected with 5-year warranty and was designed to withstand severe conditions, such as hundreds impacts to concrete surface from 120 centimetres hight and direct water splashes.
